AI - Anointed Intelligence Part 4

Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Four weeks into this comparison of artificial intelligence vs anointed intelligence and I hope you’re making some headway in your own life or at least building some anticipation for life empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The old movie, Jerry McGuire, we were given the classic line that has shaped our idea around relationships. Tom Cruise says to Renee Zellweger, “You complete me.” And she stops him from going any further with the equally famous line, “Shut up. You had me at hello.”

It’s moving, beautiful, and everything we want in life and love. But it’s perpetuated a lie, that we just have to find the RIGHT person to be happy. And if we’re NOT happy, then we haven’t found that person yet.

Whether you’re single and searching or miserably married, successfully homosexual or happily divorced, Artificial Intelligence says: "You are incomplete without the right partner."

The message from the world is that Another person, the RIGHT person, will fill your deepest longings and meet our most important needs. But this puts pressure on a person they were never built for.

1 Peter 1:13-21

Peter writes to the scattered believers (probably mostly Gentiles) and we see them called to "Be Holy" (v15-16). In these verses however, he says, "don't be conformed to the PASSIONS of your former ignorance." These passions often come in the form of pursuing a significant other. Or, pursuing fulfillment IN that significant other.

Then in verse 22, he calls them to 'love one another earnestly from a pure heart'. 

(Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Matt 5:8) A pure heart changes the way in which we love one another. Love isn’t a feeling that we just have to find in a person. It is God transforming us into Christlikeness. God IS love.

This must be our starting place and our mindset. We are to pursue Christ will ALL our heart. From there, we will find or experience gifts from God that often come in the form of relationships. But we are not incomplete if we don’t have a significant other and we haven’t failed if we are having trouble in our current relationship. Odds are we’ve been looking at our relationship with artificial intelligence glasses instead of anointed intelligence.

Artificial Intelligence says: "You are incomplete without the right partner."

Anointed Intelligence says: "You are complete when Jesus is your partner."

Instead of giving up, being miserable, calling it quits, pursuing someone else, following a feeling, just give yourself to the ONLY ONE who can complete us, God. Call on the Name of Jesus. Pursue a relationship with God and let the Holy Spirit infiltrate, inform, and empower you in your relationships.
